Rumor: Dart clutch issues

I heard a rumor from my dealer that Dodge is holding back and not selling any more 6-speed C635 manual transmission equipped Darts for now.

Apparently, there may be an issue with the slave cylinder?

Does anyone have more information?

First I've heard of it. No issues with the one in my Dart tho.

What would be the main symptoms for this issue?

I haven't noticed anything with my Dart. It is one of the first ones delivered too.

I know I've been having some issues with putting it into first when you're moving 1mph+... Which sucks b/c you need to be in first from 1mph to about 10mph no matter what with the 1.4 and tall gearing. But that sounds like more of a synchro problem than a slave cylinder. Unless the slave cylinder isn't putting enough pressure to disengage the clutch... hmm...

I read this on another forum. It happened to someone in busy traffic at a light. I think it was dodgedartforumz.com

Dart ordered 8/4
Received VIN 8/11
Trim Stage 9/10
Final Inspection 9/11
Received 10/16

My 6speed manual sounds like a box of marbles when you are in neutral at idle with the clutch up. If you rev in neutral the tranny sounds clackity unless you depress the clutch... anyone else experiencing this noise?? Otherwise the shift is good and no issues, I have roughly 2K on the car now.

1.4T, 6Sp Manual Limited... all options except technology pkg and bose upgrade.

I have the same noises in my 6 speed but no problems at all shifting.

RE: Rumor: Dart clutch issues

I have no problems with 3rd-6th gears. Getting into 1st takes a little bit of a shove, getting into 2nd takes a bigger shove. Husband said that it's not noticeable but I have to pull twice to get into 2nd. I'm not hearing any noises when hitting the gas in neutral. Haven't even had the car for a week yet so will keep an eye out to see if things improve by the 2 week mark.

My clutch just went out last weekend. boom no warning right to the floor and would not come back and bunch of fluid all over bottom so something gave way. It is at a dodge dealership 60 miles away from home now. Could this be Slave cylindar. If so Is there a bigger recall issue on our hands. Seems to be happening to others and way too often. at least 60 miles is not too far to drive when I eventually get it back.

Mine sounds like that a little bit too. and when I'm sitting at a light or sitting in idle for a while, it tends to have a rough idle. I can feel it rocking a bit. anyone else have a rough idle?
